Job summary

Camphill Village Trust is seeking a Support Worker to provide essential assistance within their Care and Support Team based at the Delrow Community in Watford, UK. The role involves fostering independence for adults with learning disabilities, planning support and care, and promoting well-being through daily living tasks and community events. Applicants should have a passion for helping others, good general education, and a creative approach to support. Sleep-ins are required, and training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, and distressed behaviours/emotions is preferred.
• Desirable to hold a driver’s licence.
• Good general education with no formal qualifications required as we support their development.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver support and care to foster well-being and development.
• Assist with daily living tasks including cooking and laundry.
• Provide personal care where required.
• Adhere to community policies and promote equality.
• Plan and organise local community events.
