Job summary

Step Into Learning is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to provide 1:1 and group support for learners with additional educational or emotional needs. You will work under the Lead Tutor and SENDCo to promote independence and achievement in an inclusive setting.

The role involves supporting learners with SEND, SEMH, autism, ADHD, and other needs, maintaining records, and contributing to ILPs. A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach is required.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English at Level 2 or equivalent.
• Patient, calm and resilient.
• Empathetic and learner-centred approach.
• Experience delivering 1:1 and small group support to learners with additional needs.
• Understanding of safeguarding and learner welfare.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1, small group and classroom support to learners with additional educational, behavioural, social or emotional needs.
• Work under direction of Lead Tutor and SENDCo to promote learner independence and achievement.
• Support up to two days off-site as needed.
• Maintain learner records and contribute to ILPs.
