Job summary

Elcons Employment Law Consultants Limited is seeking an experienced Employment Tribunal Advocate to join our Ripponden-based legal services team. You will manage Employment Tribunal cases from initial instruction through to conclusion and represent clients at hearings in a full-time, office-based role.

You will apply strong knowledge of UK employment law, advocate effectively, and independently handle caseloads while contributing to a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Proven experience of personally representing clients at Employment Tribunals.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law and tribunal procedures.
• Experience managing tribunal cases independently from preparation through to conclusion.
• Excellent advocacy, negotiation and communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
• Professional, approachable manner and a commitment to providing excellent client service.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a supportive team.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and managing Employment Tribunal cases from start to finish.
• Representing clients at preliminary hearings, case management hearings and final hearings.
• Preparing tribunal documentation, witness statements, evidence and hearing bundles.
• Advising clients on case merits, risks, potential outcomes and settlement options.
• Negotiating and concluding settlements where appropriate.
• Liaising with the Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service, Employment Tribunals, solicitors and other parties.
• Managing tribunal deadlines and ensuring all procedural requirements are met.
• Keeping clients informed and maintaining accurate records on our case management system.
• Supporting colleagues within the legal services team when required.
