Job summary

Elcons Employment Law Consultants Limited, based in Ripponden, Halifax, is seeking an experienced Employment Tribunal Advocate to join our legal services team. You will manage Employment Tribunal cases from instruction to conclusion, representing clients at hearings and advising on settlement options.

The role requires independent case handling with strong advocacy, negotiation and client service skills, supported by a collaborative team environment and a three-month probationary period.

Qualifications

• Proven experience representing clients at Employment Tribunals.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law and tribunal procedures.
• Ability to manage tribunal cases independently from preparation to conclusion.
• Excellent advocacy, negotiation and communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage deadlines.
• Professional, approachable manner and commitment to client service.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage Employment Tribunal cases from start to finish.
• Represent clients at hearings, including preliminary and final hearings.
• Prepare tribunal documentation, witness statements and hearing bundles.
• Advise clients on merits, risks, outcomes and settlements.
• Negotiate and conclude settlements where appropriate.
• Coordinate with AS, Employment Tribunals, solicitors and others.
• Meet deadlines, maintain records in the case management system.
• Support colleagues within the legal services team as needed.
