Job summary

QED Legal Recruitment Limited is seeking an Employment Solicitor in Cambridge to develop their career within an established team. You will handle a varied client base on a broad range of employment matters, advising employers and employees with support from senior lawyers.

You’ll manage your own caseload from instruction to completion, draft and review contracts and policies, support on tribunal matters, and contribute to business development while building lasting client relationships.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor with experience in employment law.
• Strong communication and client-relations skills.
• Ability to manage own caseload from instruction to completion.

Responsibilities

• Advising on disciplinary and grievance matters, redundancy, discrimination, absence management and employment contracts.
• Managing your own caseload of employment matters from initial instruction through to completion.
• Drafting and reviewing employment contracts, workplace policies, settlement agreements and other employment-related documentation.
• Supporting senior colleagues on employment tribunal claims, including case preparation, witness statements and hearing bundles.
• Providing practical, commercially focused advice on day-to-day HR and employee relations issues.
• Building strong client relationships and contributing to business development through networking, seminars and written updates.
• Working closely with colleagues across the wider firm, maintaining high standards of file management and compliance, and continuing knowledge of employment legislation and case law.
