Job summary

Think Legal Recruitment is seeking an experienced Employment Associate to join its Newcastle team, handling a broad mix of contentious and non-contentious work for a range of clients.

You’ll manage your own caseload, develop client relationships and have chances to contribute to business development, client seminars and mentoring more junior members of the team. This is a supportive, collaborative culture with a well-regarded employment practice across the North.

Qualifications

• Qualified Employment Solicitor with around 4+ years' PQE.
• Experience in respondent-focused employment practice.
• Experience in Employment Tribunal litigation.
• Able to handle both contentious and non-contentious matters.
• Capable of managing own workload and developing client relationships.

Responsibilities

A strong opportunity for an experiencedEmployment Solicitorlooking for a role with plenty of quality work, established clients and scope to develop their career.

This is a well-regarded employment team with a strong presence across the North and an impressive client base.

The role

You’ll join an established Newcastle team and handle a broad mix ofcontentious and non-contentious employment work.

The work includes:

• Employment Tribunal claims
• Complex dismissal and discrimination matters
• Whistleblowing cases
• General employment advisory work
• TUPE and organisational change
• Collective consultation
• Wider strategic employment projects

You’ll have the opportunity tomanage your own caseload, develop client relationships and work on matters for a range of sizeable employers across different sectors.

There’s also the chance to get involved inbusiness development, client seminars and mentoring more junior members of the team.

What they're looking for

Ideally, you’ll be:

• A qualified Employment Solicitor witharound 4+ years' PQE
• From arespondent-focused employment practice
• Experienced in Employment Tribunal litigation
• Comfortable handling both contentious and non-contentious matters
• Confident advising clients directly and managing your own workload
• Commercially minded and able to find practical solutions
• Someone who enjoys working as part of a genuinely collaborative team

Experience working with larger employers or organisations in regulated sectors would be useful, but isn't essential.
