Job summary

SaccoMann in Liverpool is seeking a senior Employment Partner/Director with a track record in Employment Law to establish and grow an in-house employment team within a specialist practice. You will work closely with the Corporate team to leverage an existing client base and drive cross-selling opportunities.

About the role

This is a new strategic position with scope to develop an in-house Employment Law department from scratch, moving away from current outsourcing arrangements.

You will work closely with the well-established Corporate team led by the firm's managing partner, tapping into an existing database and untapped work opportunities to cultivate a thriving employment law offering.

The role involves managing both contentious and non-contentious work, including TUPE, corporate transactions, and general employment advice.

The ideal candidate

• Proven experience at Partner or Legal Director level within Employment Law
• Demonstrable business development ability, with a flair for building strong client relationships
• Comfortable working across contentious and non-contentious employment matters
• Experience or interest in developing employment offerings within a corporate setting
• Ability to work collaboratively with the existing team, potentially supervising and recruiting a junior solicitor to support you if needed
