Job summary

Legal News Wales in Cardiff is partnering with a well-regarded national firm to recruit a Head of Employment/Partner to lead and grow the employment team in Cardiff.

You will provide high-quality legal advice on a range of employment law matters, draft and negotiate contracts, and supervise junior lawyers. Hybrid/flexible working options and an extensive benefits package are available.

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor with at least 7 years PQE in employment law.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law.
• Proven track record handling complex employment matters.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert employment law advice to clients on HR policies, redundancies, tribunals and settlements.
• Draft and negotiate employment contracts, settlement agreements and other documents.
• Keep abreast of developments in employment law and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients and colleagues.

TSR Legal are currently partnering with a well-regarded Legal 200 firm based in Cardiff who are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Head of Employment/Partner to join the national employment team. You will play a crucial role in providing high-quality legal advice and representation to clients on a range of employment law matters. The role will involve expanding the firm’s existing Employment team in Cardiff.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing expert legal advice to clients on employment law issues, including but not limited to HR policies, redundancies, disciplinary, employment tribunals and settlement agreements,
• Drafting and negotiating employment contracts, settlement agreements, and other legal documents.
• Keeping abreast of developments in employment law and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Working with clients across a broad range of industries

Requirements

• Qualified solicitor with significant experience in employment law with at least 7 years PQE
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law
• Proven track record of successfully handling complex employment law cases.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to providing exceptional client service.
