The Portfolio Group are recruiting an Employment Litigation Solicitor in Manchester City Centre. This hands-on role is five days onsite with a salary up to £45k, and involves managing a busy caseload with direct client contact.

You will handle Tribunal claims from filing to settlement or hearing, draft pleadings, advise on outcomes, and coordinate disclosure and bundles. A collaborative team environment supports growth and client service.

Employment Litigation Solicitor

Paying up to £45k

Based in Manchester City Centre

5 days onsite

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a qualified Solicitor with employment litigation experience to join a busy and well-established legal team in Manchester.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys taking ownership of their own caseload, working directly with clients and getting involved in the full life cycle of Employment Tribunal matters. You'll be joining a supportive, fast-paced environment where quality of advice and client service are just as important as legal knowledge.

The role

You’ll manage a varied caseload of employment disputes, advising clients from the initial receipt of a Tribunal claim through to settlement or hearing. This will include:

• Reviewing and responding to Employment Tribunal claims and preparing appropriate pleadings and applications.
• Advising clients on the merits, risks and likely outcomes of their cases.
• Managing disclosure, preparing hearing bundles and dealing with Tribunal correspondence.
• Handling settlement and conciliation negotiations in line with client instructions.
• Identifying and working with witnesses, including preparing and finalising witness statements.
• Conducting preliminary advocacy at Employment Tribunal hearings, including remotely and occasionally in person.
• Building strong relationships with clients and providing clear, commercially focused advice throughout.
• Working closely with colleagues and supporting more junior members of the team where required.

About you

We're looking for a qualified solicitor with recent employment litigation experience who is confident managing cases and comfortable dealing directly with clients.
