Job summary

The Portfolio Group are recruiting an Employment Litigation Solicitor in Manchester City Centre. This hands-on role is five days onsite with a salary up to £45k, and involves managing a busy caseload with direct client contact.

You will handle Tribunal claims from filing to settlement or hearing, draft pleadings, advise on outcomes, and coordinate disclosure and bundles. A collaborative team environment supports growth and client service.

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor with recent employment litigation experience.
• Strong drafting and client-facing abilities required.
• Ability to manage own caseload and work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Review and respond to Employment Tribunal claims and prepare pleadings.
• Advise clients on merits, risks and outcomes of cases.
• Manage disclosure, hearing bundles and tribunal correspondence.
• Handle settlement and conciliation negotiations per client instructions.
• Identify witnesses and prepare statements; conduct preliminary advocacy.
• Maintain strong client relationships with clear, commercially focused advice.
• Collaborate with colleagues and support junior team members.
