Job description

Join us as an Employment Law & HR Officer

  • This is an opportunity to build on your existing experience of employment law or HR, in a supportive and collaborative environment.
  • You’ll be delivering employment law and HR support to our clients.
  • This could be a major stepping stone for your future career, as we’ll support your progression with training and qualifications.
  • The advice will be delivered by telephone on our employment law and HR support telephone advice line.
  • We're offering this role for a period of 12 months.
What you'll do

We’ll be looking to you to provide employment law and HR advice and guidance. You’ll identify opportunities to meet the needs of your client through bespoke services, and you’ll generate referrals for additional consultancy and training services, generating income through cross sales.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering legally compliant and practical employment contracts and policies, including health and safety systems.
The skills you'll need

We’re looking for someone with strong research skills and experience in an HR and employment law role. Additionally, you’ll have the ability to deliver and advise on statutory processes and procedures, so good communication skills will be key.

If you already have a qualification in employment law or HR, this would be an advantage, although it is not essential, as we’ll support you to obtain this while in your role.

You’ll also need:

  • Experience in providing basic employment law and HR advice, and supporting disciplinary and grievance hearings.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the ACAS code of practice on disciplinary and grievance.
  • The ability to deal with clients from multiple channels and sectors.
  • High standards of attention to detail and client service.
