Job summary

SEETEC is seeking an Employment Adviser in Exeter to support participants on their journey to employment. You will coach, motivate and guide customers, manage a caseload, and build strong relationships to help individuals achieve sustainable work.

The role emphasizes high-quality customer service, initiative, problem solving, and delivering outcomes within a supportive, employee-owned culture. 37 hours weekly, with standard office-based hours.

Qualifications

• Essential: good working knowledge of the local labour market in the specified locations
• Essential: basic knowledge of self-employment
• Essential: fully IT literate in using Microsoft Office
• Essential: experience in a target-driven environment
• Essential: experience delivering services to meet contractual and quality standards

Responsibilities

• Meet and strive to exceed personal performance targets (KPIs)
• Progressively manage a caseload of referred customers to overcome barriers to employment
• Deliver a positive experience to new customers and ensure engagement
• Achieve customer service standards on the programme
• Facilitate assessments to understand personal circumstances and goals
• Provide guidance on self-employment and signpost to specialists
• Co-produce personalised action plans with SMART targets
• Provide tailored job-search and interview prep support
• Help customers master digital technologies for guided self-service learning
• Ensure evidence requirements are met to verify job starts
• Understand the local labour market to source opportunities
• Undertake direct marketing to employers via digital channels
• Develop relationships with key stakeholders to maximise opportunities
• Maintain customer records to compliance and quality standards
• Learn about signposting services and apply where appropriate
• Participate in continuous improvement to deliver excellent service
• Act as an employee owner in the best interests of the company
• Ensure best practices are identified, adhered to and championed
• Be flexible to travel and overnight stays as required
• Pursue ongoing professional development as identified in reviews
• Handle personal data per policy and safeguard requirements
• Promote safeguarding of children, young people and vulnerable adults
