Job summary

Bryson Group seeks a Community Employment Coach to support individuals from deprived communities toward sustainable employment. You will guide participants from engagement through skills development, training, and job placement, including facilitating training academies and building employer relationships to secure work experience opportunities.

You will provide 1-1 and group support, CV and interview prep, and help participants access additional services.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year in an employment support role.
  • Ability to build relationships with employers, training providers, and community organisations.
  • Experience facilitating employability workshops and one-to-one or group sessions.
  • Experience managing a caseload across employment stages.
  • Experience working within a multi-agency framework to support individuals holistically.
  • Knowledge of training/qualification pathways and employability skills development.
  • Full UK driving licence with access to a car and business insurance.
  • Knowledge and/or experience of Community Work.

Responsibilities

  • Actively engage individuals in Root Cause communities to develop a personalised employment pathway.
  • Provide 1-1 and group support including CV building, interview prep, job searching, and career guidance.
  • Identify and address barriers to employment; refer to additional services as needed.
  • Monitor participant progress and adjust support plans for long-term employability.
  • Provide direct support to 75 individuals across Root Cause communities.
  • Support delivery of employment training academy programmes with accredited qualifications and workplace readiness.
  • Collaborate with training providers to ensure relevant, high-quality training.
  • Facilitate workshops and employability sessions focusing on practical workplace skills and confidence-building.

Job description

The Community Employment Coach will engage individuals from communities experiencing high levels of deprivation, supporting them on their journey towards employment. The role involves guiding individuals from initial engagement through skills development, training, and ultimately securing sustainable employment. This includes facilitating employment focused training academies, helping participants gain qualifications, and building relationships with employers to create job and work experience opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Actively engage individuals in Root Cause communities who are unemployed or underemployed, supporting them to develop a personalised employment pathway.
  • Provide 1-1 and group-based support, including CV building, interview preparation, job searching, and career guidance.
  • Identify and address barriers to employment, referring participants to additional services where needed (e.g., childcare, mental health support, financial advice).
  • Monitor participant progress, adjusting support plans to ensure long-term employability and stability.
  • Provide direct support to 75 individuals across Root Cause communities.
  • Support the delivery of employment training academy programmes designed to equip individuals with skills, accredited qualifications, and workplace readiness.
  • Work in collaboration with training providers to ensure participants receive relevant and high-quality training.
  • Facilitate workshops and employability sessions focused on practical workplace skills and confidence-building.
  • English Language and Mathematics at grade C or above
  • Minimum of 1 years experience in an employment support role to include:
    • Proven ability to build relationships with employers, training providers, and community organisations.
    • Experience in facilitating employability workshops, one-to-one support, or group training sessions.
    • Experience managing a caseload, supporting individuals at different stages of their employment journey.
    • Experience working within a multi-agency framework to support individuals holistically.
  • Strong understanding of barriers to employment and strategies to overcome them through targeted support.
  • Knowledge of training, qualification pathways, and employability skills development.
  • Knowledge of IT systems, including Microsoft Office and case management software.
  • The candidate must hold a full and current driving licence valid in the UK with access to a car and business insurance on appointment.
  • Qualification in employability, career guidance, social work, community development, or a related field
  • Knowledge and/or experience of Community Work.
