JMC Legal Recruitment is seeking an Employment Solicitor (Associate/Senior Associate) in Bournemouth for 2+ PQE. You will advise both employers and employees on a broad mix of contentious and non-contentious matters, with opportunity to lead and grow the Bournemouth office.

The role offers hybrid and flexible working, with strong support from an established Employment team to develop client relationships and build the local practice.

Qualifications

• Experience advising both employers and/or employees, strong technical knowledge and commercially focused advice
• Interest in business development and networking, and growing an Employment practice in Bournemouth

Responsibilities

• Develop client relationships, build a local profile, and contribute to growth of the Bournemouth practice

If you're an Employment Solicitor looking for more than another role managing a caseload, this could be an opportunity to have a real influence on the next stage of a growing practice. An established and highly regarded law firm is looking to appoint an Associate or Senior Associate Employment Solicitor to its Bournemouth office.

The team is already well regarded, with Legal 500 recognition, but there is further scope to develop its presence across the Bournemouth and wider Dorset market.

For the right person, this could develop into a genuine leadership opportunity, working closely with the Head of Employment and wider team while helping to grow the local practice.

The role

You'll advise a broad mix of employers and employees across both contentious and non-contentious employment matters. Including:

• Employment Tribunal claims and disputes
• Settlement agreements
• Disciplinary and grievance matters
• Redundancies and restructuring
• Employment contracts and policies
• General employment advice
• Supporting clients through more complex employment issues

Alongside the technical work, you'll have the opportunity to develop client relationships, build a profile in the local market and contribute to the growth of the Bournemouth practice.

You'll also work closely with colleagues across the wider Employment team, giving you access to a broader range of expertise and resources.

About you

You'll be a qualified Employment Solicitor with ideally 2+ years' PQE, although the firm is more interested in the quality of your experience and your ambitions than simply a number.

You'll need experience advising both employers and/or employees, strong technical knowledge and the ability to provide commercially focused advice.

You'll also be someone who wants to get involved beyond the day-to-day caseload.

Perhaps you're already taking an interest in business development and networking, or you're ready for the opportunity to develop those skills further.

Most importantly, you'll want to play a meaningful role in growing an Employment practice in Bournemouth, rather than simply joining an established team and maintaining the status quo.
