Job summary

Irwin Mitchell LLP is seeking an Associate or Senior Associate to join its employer-focused practice in Sheffield. You will advise a broad range of employer clients across sectors including education and manufacturing, working closely with a partner and contributing to the growth of the team.

You will handle both contentious and non-contentious matters, take genuine responsibility, and develop your profile within the practice while mentoring junior lawyers and collaborating with colleagues

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer with 4–8 years PQE in employment law.
• Experience advising employer clients in education and STEM sectors is a plus.
• Strong client-handling skills and confidence to contribute to business development.
• Experience mentoring junior lawyers.

Responsibilities

• Advise employers on day-to-day employment issues and tribunal claims.
• Lead matters and client relationships with supervision and support.
• Contribute to business development and growth of the team.
• Mentor junior lawyers and collaborate with regional and national teams.
