Job summary

The South Hampshire College Group (SHCG) is seeking a Project Officer to lead and coordinate employer-led projects tied to T Level Industry Placements and broader work experience across the college group.

You will partner with employers, curriculum teams and learners to turn business challenges into learner projects, ensuring students gain valuable industry insight while supporting employers’ workforce needs.

• Experience of employer engagement, stakeholder management or project coordination.
• Passion for helping young people develop employability skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Strong administrative, organisational and data management skills.
• Proactive, adaptable and committed to delivering excellent service to employers, students and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Building and maintaining strong relationships with employers and industry partners.
• Developing and coordinating employer-led projects across a range of curriculum areas.
• Supporting T Level Industry Placements and wider work experience initiatives.
• Delivering employability workshops, presentations and student briefings.
• Coordinating project opportunities and matching them to learners and curriculum programmes.
• Monitoring learner participation, employer feedback and project outcomes.
• Conducting employer compliance checks, risk assessments and site visits where required.
• Supporting employer engagement activities, guest speakers, employer events and enrichment opportunities.
• Maintaining accurate records and reporting on project activity and impact.
