Job summary

Telford College seeks to coordinate, develop and enhance Employer and Workplace Experiences for learners. You will work with curriculum teams and employers to design meaningful placements aligned to study programmes and essential skills development.

The role strengthens employer engagement, ensuring experiences are purposeful and aligned with curriculum objectives amid FE reforms. You will support learners from placement through to positive destinations.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of safeguarding issues in education.
• Understanding of data protection legislation.
• Knowledge of current developments and opportunities in local LMI.
• Experience of working in an education setting.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, develop and enhance Employer and Workplace Experiences opportunities for students.
• Collaborate with curriculum teams and employers to create work placements.
• Engage with employers to generate opportunities for learners.
• Support students in placements and link placements to curriculum objectives.
• Develop a broad base of employers to secure opportunities and potential job prospects.
• Identify student work aspirations and match them with suitable opportunities.
• Be proactive in arranging Employer and Workplace Experiences that benefit learners.
• Support the team to enable positive destinations for all students.
• Be flexible with busy employers and adapt to changing needs.
• Visit and support students in placement as required.
• Work with Employer Engagement to create talent pipelines.
