Job summary

Telford College seeks a dedicated coordinator to develop and enhance Employer and Workplace Experiences across the Faculty of Business and Digital. You will collaborate with curriculum teams and employers to align opportunities with study programmes and essential skill development.

You will work to strengthen employer engagement, arrange placements, and support learners throughout their placements, balancing demand from busy employers and safeguarding considerations.

Qualifications

• Experience of working in an education setting.
• Experience of providing advice, guidance and/or education to young people and/or adults.
• Level 2 Maths and English (GCSE A-C or equivalent) or willingness to attain with College support.
• A-Level or equivalent qualification.
• Car owner with full driving licence; post involves visiting employers and students in placement.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, develop and enhance Employer and Workplace Experiences provision for learners across the college.
• Work with Employer Relationship Managers and curriculum teams to develop work placement opportunities.
• Contact employers to generate employer and workplace experiences opportunities for students.
• Support learners and employers on placements and ensure a safe, productive experience.
• Develop a broad base of employers to secure opportunities and potential job pathways post-college.
• Engage with students to match work aspirations with suitable opportunities.

Education

Level 2 Maths and English (GCSE A-C or equivalent)

A-Level or equivalent

IAG qualification at level 4 (Desirable)
