Job summary

Telford College is seeking a Work Experience Coordinator to develop and manage Employer and Workplace Experiences for students. You will work with curriculum teams and employers to align experiences with study programs and essential skill development.

The role focuses on strengthening employer engagement, ensuring meaningful placements, and supporting learners toward positive destinations within the FE curriculum framework.

Qualifications

• Safeguarding in education is essential for interaction with learners.
• Knowledge of data protection and confidentiality is required.
• Familiarity with local Labour Market Information and opportunities.
• Experience working in an educational setting is preferred.
• Ability to advise and guide young people and adults effectively.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with learners and partners.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and develop Employer and Workplace Experiences for students.
• Collaborate with Employer Relationship Managers and curriculum teams to create placements.
• Contact employers to generate opportunities for students and placements.
• Support students and employers during placements to ensure success.
• Develop a broad base of employers for future opportunities post-college.
• Work with students to identify career aspirations and match opportunities.
• Be innovative in arranging experiences to benefit learners.
• Proactively support team objectives and positive destinations for students.
• Handle busy employer schedules with flexibility and responsiveness.
• Visit and support students in placement as required.
• Coordinate with Employer Engagement to identify talent pipelines.
