Job Purpose
You will provide a high quality day to day operational HR service to managers and employees across the AkzoNobel UK business. This will include supporting stakeholders with all aspects of employee relations as well as ensuring compliance with current employment law. You will oversee complex casework, including disciplinary actions, grievances, and performance management, to foster a positive and productive workplace environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Coach managers to make good business decisions by advising on issues from disciplinary & grievance to performance management & health.
  • Draft and implement HR policies & procedures.
  • Enable managers to manage people processes more independently, by developing a suite of manager guides/supporting documentation.
  • Support line managers to effectively manage, lead & develop their teams.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to proactively manage casework from initiation to resolution.
  • Provide employee advice on workplace issues.
  • Ensure effective communication & collaboration with Trade Unions.
  • Recommend solutions to improve workplace culture & compliance.

Job Requirements

  • Experience of delivering an HR service with a strong focus on employee relations & complex case management.
  • Excellent working knowledge of employment law and best practice.
  • Ability to challenge & coach line managers.
  • Ability to understand complex issues & suggest practical/creative solutions.
