Job summary

University of Portsmouth is seeking an Employee Relations Adviser to provide proactive HR advice to designated Faculties and Professional Services.

Hybrid working is available with 3 days in the office and 2 days at home. This full-time role is fixed-term until 30 May 2027, with potential flexibility for part-time hours. Interviews are planned for the week commencing 16 November 2026.

Qualifications

• Provide proactive high-quality HR advice to designated Faculties and Professional Services.
• Enable and support line managers in fair and consistent management of casework in line with HR policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive high quality and professional HR advice and guidance to designated Faculties and Professional Services.
• Enable and support line managers to be confident in the management of casework in a fair and consistent manner, and in accordance with the University’s HR Policies and Procedures.
• Support the HR Business Partnering Team to provide a consistent, knowledgeable and professional HR service to the University.
