Job summary

James Andrews Recruitment Solutions Ltd is assisting an education provider in Nuneaton to recruit an ER Advisor on a temporary contract until Christmas. Hybrid working is available, including two days working from home. The role pays circa £22 per hour via Umbrella and requires 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30am–4:30pm.

Start date is ASAP. The ideal candidate will have strong employee relations advisory experience, managing high-volume absence, long-term sickness and welfare casework,

Qualifications

• Experience in a People/HR advisory role supporting managers with ER caseloads.
• Strong sickness absence management experience.
• Familiar with employment legislation and HR policies.
• Experience in education sector is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage an ER caseload of 20–30 cases focused on absence and welfare.
• Provide legally compliant ER advice to managers.
• Support absence processes: sickness reviews, return-to-work, adjustments.
• Prepare case docs and coordinate with health and unions.
