Job summary

Aberdeen City Council’s Employability Service, ABZWorks, is seeking an employability professional to support residents in moving into work, training, volunteering, or education. The role is hybrid, with at least three days in-person, and is fixed term to 31 March 2026 with a potential extension subject to funding.

The post holder will work 1:2:1 or small groups, build partnerships, and help residents progress through person-centred activities.

Qualifications

• Experience of working in an employability environment.
• Adult Learning and/or Youth Work Experience.
• PVG Membership for Regulated Work with Children and Protected Adults, or willingness to obtain prior to a formal offer of employment being made.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of employability initiatives within Aberdeen City Council and ABZWorks.
• Provide one-to-one or small group employability support to help residents access training and services.
• Engage in partnership working with Council services and partner agencies.
