Job summary

Northumberland County Council, based at County Hall, is seeking a passionate Skills & Employability Advisor to coordinate employment support that helps residents overcome barriers and secure sustainable work. This fixed-term role supports the QTS Data Centre development by building a locally focused talent pipeline and coordinating job opportunities.

You will manage a pipeline of referrals, work with employers and partners, and provide tailored one-to-one support to help people gain confidence,

Qualifications

• Experience of delivering employability support to job-seekers.
• Strong organisational and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work across office, outreach and community settings.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate employment support and lead the QTS Jobs Platform.
• Manage a pipeline of referrals and collaborate with partners.
• Provide tailored one-to-one support to residents to build confidence and skills.
• Identify training and job opportunities and match individuals to vacancies.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to programme targets.
• Travel across the county for site work as required.
