Job summary

Sunderland College is seeking a Skills Development Coach to support learners in Sunderland. This permanent part-time role (18.5 hours per week) focuses on developing skills and employability, coordinating student placements with employers, and ensuring learners are ready for progression into further education or work.

You will work within Health & Social Care, using digital tools to enhance learning and provide inclusive, high-quality support to diverse learners and groups.

Qualifications

• Qualified to level 3 or above in a relevant subject.
• English and maths to a minimum of level 2.
• Full clean driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging sessions tailored to learner needs and project goals.
• Support participants in developing practical skills, confidence, and employability skills.
• Track and monitor learner progress, including managing documentation for work experience (WEX) and industry placement records.
• Collaborate with colleagues, employers, and partner organisations to coordinate meaningful placement opportunities.
• Maintain accurate administrative records and contribute to regular reporting and evaluation activities.
