Job summary

Dovetail & Slate Ltd in the West Midlands is recruiting an Employability Lecturer to deliver high-quality employability teaching within a further education setting. You will plan engaging sessions, assess work and support learners to progress into study or employment, while maintaining safeguarding and quality standards.

The role is temporary/contract, with responsibilities across curriculum planning, marking, feedback and learner motivation in mixed-ability groups.

Qualifications

• Subject knowledge and experience in employability
• Experience of teaching, assessing or training learners
• Ability to engage and motivate learners of mixed abilities
• Desirable: a teaching qualification, or willingness to work towards one

• Planning and delivering employability sessions across a range of levels and abilities

Are you an experienced employability tutor, or a careers and training professional looking for your next opportunity within further education?

About the Role

As an Employability Lecturer, you'll deliver high-quality employability teaching for a further education provider, helping learners build the skills, confidence and workplace awareness they need to progress into further study or employment.

You'll plan and deliver engaging sessions to learners of mixed abilities, assess work against awarding body requirements and work alongside the wider teaching team to maintain strong standards of teaching, learning and assessment.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Planning and delivering employability sessions across a range of levels and abilities.
• Preparing schemes of work, lesson resources and assessments.
• Marking learner work and providing timely, constructive feedback.
• Supporting learners to build confidence, motivation and independence.
