Job summary

University College Birmingham in Birmingham seeks an Employability and Enrichment Assistant to support EHCP students with enrichment activities, social and communication skills, and preparation for employment or further study. You will work with curriculum teams to ensure students are engaged in inclusive college life, while tracking progress and supporting individual development.

The role requires a proactive, organized communicator with SEND experience and a focus on CV writing and interview

Job Title: Employability and Enrichment Assistant

Location: Birmingham

Salary: £19,228 - £19,669 per annum pro rata of £26,707 - £27,319 per annum - SS2

Job type: Permanent, 30 hours per week, over 40 weeks per year

The Role:

UCB's highly experienced Disability and Neurodiversity Support team is expanding during an exciting period of growth, including the development of world-class facilities, and we are looking to recruit an Employability and Enrichment Assistant.

In this impactful role, you will work closely with EHCP students to access enrichment activities, build social and communication skills, and prepare for employment, apprenticeships, or further study. You will collaborate with curriculum teams and support services to ensure students are fully engaged in inclusive college life, while tracking progress and supporting individual development.

You will be a proactive and organised individual with strong communication skills, experience of supporting learners with SEND or additional needs, and a passion for improving student outcomes. The ability to motivate students, build positive relationships, and support employability development (including CV writing and interview preparation) will be key to success.
