Job summary

Walliscote Primary School in Weston-super-Mare is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to support pupils with learning needs inside classrooms and on a 1:1 basis. The role involves adapting activities, encouraging positive behaviour, and helping maintain a calm learning environment.

Experience with autistic pupils and complex needs is essential. The post is fixed-term until 31 August 2027, 30 hours per week, term-time only, with salary £18,738.56–£20,613.34 depending on qualifications.

Qualifications

• Experience with autistic children, social communication barriers, and complex needs is essential.
• Experience with or willingness to be trained in providing personal and intimate care or medical needs.
