Job summary
83zero Ltd is seeking an experienced Design Engineer for Aftertreatment and emissions systems, based in Peterborough. You will design modules, support NPI, and tackle complex engineering challenges in a global team environment.
The role emphasizes collaboration with suppliers and cross-functional teams to deliver reliable engine systems and high-performance solutions on/off-highway applications.
Qualifications
- Experience in mechanical design of engine components and systems.
- Knowledge of aftertreatment technology, exhaust systems or emissions modules.
- Experience in off-highway diesel engine development or similar.
- Proficiency with 3D modelling and data management tools (Creo, Teamcenter).
- Ability to produce technical specs and engineering drawings.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and engineering standards.
- Experience with DFMEA and component validation.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop aftertreatment and emissions modules and mounting systems.
- Support NPI projects and updates to engine platforms.
- Resolve manufacturing, quality and field issues with root-cause actions.
- Collaborate with suppliers on cost-conscious engineering solutions.
- Lead FMEA activities and develop validation plans.
- Produce engineering drawings and functional requirement documents.
- Support component and system validation and verification.
- Work with cross-functional teams and global sites to deliver projects.
