Job summary

Northern Gas Networks is seeking an Emergency Works Scheduler to coordinate dispatch for both emergency and non-emergency works. You will act as the primary contact between customers and field operatives, ensuring safe, efficient operations and OFGEM compliance.

The role requires flexibility across shifts, strong IT skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment. Base location is Doxford Park, Sunderland, with 40-hour weeks and a 5% performance bonus potential.

Qualifications

• Ensure strong customer service in a busy dispatcher environment.
• Demonstrate clear communication with field teams and stakeholders.
• Prioritise tasks and make timely decisions under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Deliver first-class customer service to internal and external customers; oversee field staff to ensure compliance with procedures.
• Liaise with field-based staff and Emergency Site Managers for scheduling and dispatching work.
• Support Dispatch Team Leader during BCM events and emergencies.
• Communicate effectively with customers and site managers.
• Promote safety, teamwork, and customer-centric service.
