Job summary

Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust invites applications for a Trust Registrar (ST4+) in Emergency Medicine. These posts offer time to develop a special interest while providing patient-facing care, with protected development time.

The role supports a weekly dedicated special interest day, education, and progression within emergency medicine; opportunities in IT governance and research are available. This is not a formal UK training post, but supervision is provided.

Qualifications

• Full GMC Registration with licence to practise.
• Medical degree MBBS (or equivalent).
• IAC in anaesthetics or equivalent airway skills.
• Eligibility to work in the UK.
• 4+ years of experience in Emergency Medicine / related specialties.

Responsibilities

• Provision of care with responsibility for the management of patients presenting to the ED.
• Referral of patients to other specialties as appropriate.
• Dedicated special interest day per week.
• Involvement in specialty and cross-specialty multi-disciplinary teams and meetings.
• Involvement in relevant administration duties.
• Teaching and supervision of junior medical staff and other clinicians as appropriate.
• Active involvement in audit and clinical governance including service improvement activities.
