Job summary

Brent Council is seeking an Emergency Placement Housing Officer to support individuals and families facing homelessness. You will perform suitability assessments, identify suitable temporary accommodation, and ensure bookings are completed efficiently.

The role is based in Wembley with a rota including Harlesden and the option to work from home on some days. Experience in temporary accommodation is essential, with training provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in homelessness or temporary accommodation sector is essential.
• Proven ability to learn processes quickly with full training provided.
• Customer-focused mindset with excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct suitability assessments for homelessness applicants referred to you.
• Search for and identify suitable accommodation ensuring housing compliance.
• Allocate accommodations to applicants and complete all booking processes.
