Job summary

Tunstall is seeking an Emergency Helpline Operator on a full-time permanent basis, working day shifts. The role supports customers by providing reassurance and arranging follow-up as needed, with a focus on safety and compassionate service.

Based at our Whitley office in Goole, you will handle calls, log details accurately, and coordinate with emergency services or personal contacts. Driving may be required; car parking is available.

Qualifications

• Must be a great listener and able to communicate over the phone.
• Ability to assess each call and determine the most appropriate follow-up.
• High attention to detail when recording information on our systems.

Responsibilities

• Speak to service users to help with a wide range of enquiries and provide reassurance.
• Assess each call and select the most appropriate follow up procedure.
• Clearly and concisely pass information to emergency services or personal contacts when required.
• Maintain the Response Centre database to a high standard of accuracy and confidentiality.
• Respond to calls effectively and efficiently.
