Job summary

GMCA (Greater Manchester Combined Authority) is looking for an LGV Technician to join the Fleet Services team at Leigh Technical Services Centre. You will inspect, diagnose, maintain and repair blue-light vehicles and equipment to keep emergency services ready.

The role focuses on planned LGV maintenance and emergency repairs, with a 36.25-hour week, standby rota of 1 in 5 weeks, and overtime as per scheme. Safety and high-quality service are essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified LGV technician with experience in maintenance and repair of commercial vehicles.
• Experience performing inspections to DVSA and NFCC standards.
• Willingness to participate in standby rota and out-of-hours work.
