Job summary

Northumberland County Council is seeking an experienced vehicle technician to maintain a fleet of LGV and support vehicles. You will diagnose faults by road testing, visual inspections, and use of computerised diagnostic software to meet MOT and LGV testing standards.

The role requires a Level 3 in vehicle/plant maintenance and a good understanding of DVSA operator licensing standards. NCC offers generous leave, a defined pension and a flexi-leave scheme.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Level 3 or equivalent in vehicle/plant maintenance and understand DVSA standards for operator licensing.

Responsibilities

• Maintain NCC vehicles to MOT and LGV testing station standards; diagnose faults by road testing, inspection and via diagnostic software.
