Job summary

WWL NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Senior Sister/Charge Nurse for the Emergency Department in Wigan. The role is a 12‑month fixed‑term secondment covering a 36‑hour week with day and night shifts on a seven‑day pattern.

You will lead the ED team, supervise staffing, and drive high standards of care within a busy department. The post is open to internal and external applicants and may become permanent in the future.

• Experienced ED nurse looking to further career in Emergency Care.
• Strong leadership and development skills in a busy ED setting.
• Excellent communication and adaptability to changes in service delivery.
