Qualifications

• Post-registration experience in Emergency Department or acute hospital setting.
• Extended clinical skills relevant to ED nursing.
• NMC recognised mentorship or willingness to pursue within 18 months.
• Understanding of ED policies and legislation.
• Ability to manage clinical risk and incidents at ward/department level.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to a range of patients within ED within scope of practice.
• Contribute to delivering high standards of nursing care.
• Take charge of specific areas or the whole department as required, with support from Band 7 team.
