Job summary

Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a Band 5 Staff Nurse to join our Emergency Department. You will deliver high-quality, patient-centred care to patients and families, assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for a wide range of acute illnesses, injuries and emergencies, and work as part of a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires post-registration ED experience, the ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment, and commitment to professional development.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (Adult) with current NMC registration.
• Evidence of continuing professional development relevant to practice.
• Post-registration ED experience in an Acute Emergency Department or similar setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centred nursing care to ED patients with a range of acute illnesses and emergencies.
• Monitor and assess patients, recognise deterioration, administer medications and perform clinical procedures.
• Work with the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, timely, and efficient care and maintain documentation.
• Support patients and families, contribute to service improvement and participate in mandatory training.
