Job summary

Pinnacle Group is seeking an Emergency Control Room Operator to ensure the safety of our properties and people. You will join our Workplace Security Team at Carrington, Manchester, working on a 42-hour week with 12-hour shifts in a 4-on/4-off pattern.

The role includes monitoring CCTV, coordinating responses, contacting authorities, and producing incident reports. A shift allowance and overtime options sweeten the package, and a valid SIA badge plus CCTV licence are required.

Qualifications

  • Valid SIA Badge – SG or DS Licence.
  • Valid CCTV Licence.
  • Access to own transport due to location.
  • Must hold a UK Manual Driver's Licence due to driving company vehicles.
  • Strong, clear communicator (radio control skills required).
  • Must be able to use and understand the Phonetic Alphabet.
  • Full 5-year UK-checkable work history.

Responsibilities

  • Meet and greet visitors, staff and contractors and manage the control room environment.
  • Monitor CCTV and conduct patrols.
  • Communicate continuously with on-site security officers, providing guidance and relaying response requirements.
  • Act as a key member of the incident management team, working closely with safety team leaders.
  • Monitor and respond promptly to alarms, emergencies and incidents, taking appropriate action to mitigate risks.
  • Coordinate with local authorities, including police and emergency healthcare services in the event of an emergency.
  • Prepare detailed and accurate incident reports, logging all security-related activities and occurrences.
  • Operate a telephone switchboard and use client software in the control room.

Overview

Pinnacle Group is looking for an Emergency Control Room Operator to ensure the safety and security of our properties and sites and play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. You will join our Workplace Security Teams based at Carrington, Manchester M31P. This is a permanent role working an average of 42 hours per week on 12‑hour shifts, following a 4 on 4 off pattern with 2‑day and 2‑night shifts (6:00–18:00 / 18:00–6:00) on a rolling rota. A shift allowance of £217 per month is provided, and overtime is available at 1.5× the normal rate.

Key Responsibilities
