Job summary

North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a part-time Healthcare Assistant (Band 3) for the Emergency Assessment Unit, Ward 6 and SDEC at West Cumberland Hospital in Whitehaven. The role is 30 hours per week, with a mix of day and night shifts, in a fast-paced acute care setting.

You will support registered nurses, undertake duties within competence, and help maintain patient dignity and safety while working within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Level 3 vocational qualification or equivalent in care duties.
• National Care Certificate or equivalent training.
• Experience in health or social care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist registered nurses in providing high quality patient care.
• Undertake clinical activities when trained and competent.
• Maintain patient privacy and dignity with compassionate care.
• Be an effective part of the multi-disciplinary team.
• Develop and maintain nursing competencies for safe care.
• Contribute to ward/dept duties, housekeeping and stock control.
