Job summary

Mitsubishi Power EMEA is seeking a Shipping Coordinator to join our Operations team, managing domestic and international shipments with strict UK customs compliance. The role involves coordinating with freight forwarders, customs brokers, suppliers, warehouse teams and project managers to ensure timely, safe and compliant deliveries across the EMEA region.

Qualifications

• Experience in an international shipping or logistics coordination role.
• Strong knowledge of import/export procedures.
• Experience with UK customs processes.
• Knowledge of Incoterms (2020).
• Strong planning and organisational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritise multiple deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate domestic and international shipments by road, air, sea and courier.
• Arrange collections and deliveries with approved freight forwarders.
• Expedite urgent and critical outage shipments to minimise downtime.
• Arrange oversized, abnormal and heavy-lift transportation where required.
• Manage import and export activities for both project and operational shipments.
• Coordinate repair and return logistics with suppliers and repair facilities.
• Organise temporary exports and imports for service tooling and specialist equipment.
• Prepare, review and manage all export and import documentation, including: Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Export Declarations, Import Documentation, Certificates of Origin, Dangerous Goods Documentation.
• Ensure compliance with UK Customs regulations, HMRC requirements, Export Control legislation, sanctions and restricted party screening requirements.
• Coordinate customs clearance activities with customs brokers.
• Maintain accurate commodity (HS/Tariff) codes.
