ABB is seeking a senior Electrical Design leader to drive the electrical product development portfolio across the EMEA region. You will define technical strategy, lead multidisciplinary teams, and ensure robust design governance and testing readiness.

You will oversee the Electrical and Medium Voltage Lab operations, build technology roadmaps, and collaborate with Product Management, Sales, Operations and Quality to deliver innovative solutions.

Formación

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in electrical product or system development.
• Strong technical knowledge of product and system architecture, insulation coordination, electrical stress analysis, thermal performance and EMC.
• Experience leading engineering teams across multiple locations and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of IEC, EN, UL, CSA, IEEE and other standards and certification requirements.
• Experience with electrical testing, validation, type-test prep, failure analysis and design verification.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills; passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
• Fluent English communication, written and verbal.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the Electrical Design competency across the EMEA region; define technical strategy and standards.
• Lead and develop multidisciplinary engineering teams with right skills and resources to deliver projects.
• Drive development of electrical products and solutions including medium-voltage systems and sensor-enabled tech.
• Provide technical leadership for complex challenges: problem solving, failure analysis, risk reduction, design governance.
• Oversee operation and development of the Electrical and Medium Voltage Laboratory, including testing capability and certification readiness.
• Build and implement roadmaps aligned with customer needs, market trends and priorities.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Sales, Operations, Quality and Innovation teams; engage external partners.
• Serve as senior technical authority for electrical engineering technologies across the region.
