Job summary

Mattel UK is seeking a proactive PR Associate to join our in-house team, supporting the UK market and wider EMEA comms. You will collaborate with the PR Manager and Lead to execute brand campaigns, manage media relationships, and coordinate agencies across regions.

The role requires 3+ years in PR or communications, experience with press offices or agencies, and strong project management. English fluency is essential, with a plus for another European language.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Public Relations, Communications, or a related field.
• Experience managing a press office and using media monitoring tools.
• Strong project management experience with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in Excel; experience with financial systems is highly appreciated.
• Fluency in English is required; proficiency in an additional European language is preferred.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a collaborative approach.

Responsibilities

• Working directly with the PR Manager and PR Lead, supporting to execute first class integrated brand PR campaigns and events for UK market, with creative frameworks and concepts that can be used in the rest of the EMEA markets.
• Act as hub for creative, messaging, assets and materials for rest of EMEA driving best practise and efficiencies.
• Drive trade shows both in the UK and across EMEA.
• Coordinate network of PR agencies from coverage reports to vetting press and media lists.
• Administer EMEA press inbox with inbound requests distributing them accordingly to market agencies.
• Sign off press materials for franchise partners.
• Media sell in experience.
• Manage finance systems, raising PO’s and logging in finance systems.
