Job summary

PIMCO in the UK is seeking an EMEA People Operations Lead / Manager who acts as a hands-on, player-coach to drive operational excellence, transformation, and scalable HR service delivery across the UK and EU. This role partners with HRBPs, Compliance, Legal, Technology, and Global POPs to deliver compliant, data-driven outcomes.

The ideal candidate brings deep hands-on HR operations experience, balances strategic and tactical work, and leads complex programs such as SMCR and AI-driven process

Qualifications

• 8–12+ years in People Operations or HR Operations in a multicountry, regulated environment.
• Regional operations lead experience for UK/EU with regulatory programs (SMCR) involved.
• Proven HR transformation, automation, and use of AI to scale service delivery.
• Strong hands-on experience with HR platforms (ServiceNow or equivalents).
• Deep knowledge of end-to-end lifecycle operations across the UK and EU.
• Experience designing and running case management and knowledge management frameworks.
• Excellent execution with multiple competing priorities and cross-functional influence.
• Able to operate at strategic and tactical levels with clear documentation discipline.

Responsibilities

• Own regional execution, risk management, and operational consistency as SME for the UK and EU.
• Lead end-to-end employee lifecycle transactions: onboarding, role changes, transfers, exits.
• Ensure service delivery timeliness, accuracy, and employee experience while maintaining compliance.
• Act as senior escalation point for complex operational matters.
• Own case management processes, escalation paths, SLAs, and quality standards.
• Drive HR transformation initiatives and digitization across the lifecycle.
• Implement AI-enabled solutions and workflow automation to reduce manual effort.
• Partner with Technology on ServiceNow enhancements and tooling.
• Lead regulatory programs (SMCR) and maintain audit readiness.
• Deliver cross-functional projects spanning HR, Compliance, Legal, Finance, Tech, and vendors.
• Develop dashboards and analytics to drive decision making and outcomes.
