Job summary

Houlihan Lokey is seeking a skilled Payroll Practitioner for our EMEA payroll operations. This hybrid role requires 2–3 days in the UK or Paris offices and reports to the EMEA Payroll Manager.

You will manage monthly payrolls across multiple countries, coordinate with PwC and Papaya, and ensure accurate Workday data, tax compliance, and timely payments. Strong Excel and English communication are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 3+ years of multi-jurisdictional EMEA payroll experience.
  • Experience with Workday, in-house payroll systems, and local partners.
  • Knowledge of European payroll tax, social security, and CBAs.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent English communication.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Process monthly payrolls for assigned EMEA countries.
  • Ensure Workday data accuracy for hires, changes, terminations.
  • Coordinate with PwC and Papaya for payrolls.
  • Audit salary components and deductions.
  • Process non-cash benefits monthly.
  • Handle termination calculations and holiday payouts.
  • Coordinate funds distribution and wire transfers.
  • Prepare monthly ledgers and payroll reconciliations.
  • Be the first point of contact for payroll queries.
  • Respond to queries via ServiceNow.
  • Explain salary proration and leave accruals.
