Job summary

Houlihan Lokey UK Limited is seeking a Payroll Practitioner to oversee payroll processes across EMEA with a hybrid UK-based role requiring 2-3 days in UK or Paris offices. You will work with Workday HRIS, and collaborate with PwC and Papaya to ensure accurate payroll for multiple countries.

You will process monthly payrolls, manage data changes, and respond to payroll queries, while maintaining GDPR and local legal compliance. Strong English and analytical skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, HR, or related field.
  • 3+ years of advanced multi-jurisdictional EMEA payroll administration (France, Sweden, Switzerland, Netherlands).
  • Experience with Workday and in-house payroll systems; knowledge of European payroll legislation.
  • Understanding of income tax withholding, social security, and statutory deductions across EMEA.
  • Excellent English communication; strong organizational and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Process monthly payrolls for assigned EMEA countries, ensuring country-specific cutoffs.
  • Coordinate with outsourced payroll partners and ensure data accuracy in Workday.
  • Input and audit employee details, salary changes, deductions, and bonuses.
  • Prepare payroll journals and reconcile payroll accounts for selected countries.
  • Serve as first point of contact for payroll queries and ensure SLAs are met.
