Job summary

Houlihan Lokey, a leading global investment bank, is seeking an experienced Payroll Practitioner to manage multi-country payroll operations across the EMEA region. The role collaborates with PwC, Papaya, and internal HR teams, ensuring accurate data, compliance with local tax rules, and timely payroll processing within a hybrid UK/Paris footprint.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of multi-jurisdictional payroll experience, strong English communication skills, and a solid grasp of Workday.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
• 3+ years of advanced multi-jurisdictional EMEA payroll administration (France, Sweden, Switzerland, Netherlands, etc.).
• Experience with Workday, in-house payroll systems and local in-country partners.
• Demonstrated understanding of European payroll tax and employment legislation including income tax withholding and social security.
• Proficiency with Excel and payroll data auditing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process monthly payrolls for assigned EMEA countries, ensuring compliance with country-specific cutoffs.
• Coordinate with outsourced vendors (PwC and Papaya) to ensure accurate payrolls and timely payments.
• Input and audit employee details, salary changes, overtime, leaves, and deductions in Workday and other systems.
• Respond to payroll queries via ServiceNow and maintain documentation for compliance and audit readiness.
• Maintain confidentiality and ensure GDPR compliance across payroll processes.
