Job summary

Rolls-Royce in Derby is seeking a Lifecycle Engineer to support airline customers across EMEA. The role reports to the Engineering Manager for EMEA and involves responding to operator technical issues, developing and communicating solutions, and analysing engine operations.

You will investigate events, prepare technical documentation, and collaborate with regional teams and service facilities to improve product reliability and maintainability while working in a hybrid model (3 days on site).

Qualifications

• Engineering or numerical degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience with aero gas turbine engines and components.
• Understanding of EASA Part 21 and Part 145 is preferred.
• Analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with the customer to provide technical support on engine operation, maintenance and repair or technical queries.
• Lead or support investigations of engine service events to determine root cause and corrective actions.
• Create and approve technical documentation to support engine operation and regulatory requirements.
• Improve interface management between regional teams and service facilities.
• Collaborate with Rolls-Royce functions and customers on cost reductions and design changes.
• Prepare and deliver technical communications to regulators, customers and stakeholders.
• Gather in-service data to identify best practices and feed back into design and future programs.
