Job summary

Amazon Leo Global Licensing - EMEA is seeking a Lead, Licensing & Regulatory Affairs to own the licensing strategy across the Europe, Middle East, and Africa region, securing authorizations for satellite systems and ensuring compliance with electronic communications regulations. This role shapes NGSO-related policies at national, regional, and international levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
• Experience managing multiple projects and meeting aggressive deadlines.
• Experience related to spectrum management, securing licenses for telecommunications services, and international regulatory compliance.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.
• Experience working with government officials and regulatory bodies.
• Able to work proactively and independently, meet deadlines, and deliver on projects and tasks.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute licensing plans across a portfolio of EMEA countries, securing authorizations for satellite systems and services.
• Engage with regulators, trade associations, and industry stakeholders to advocate for favorable policies on NGSO systems and spectrum access.
• Identify regulatory risks, maintain cross-jurisdictional compliance, and collaborate with business, legal, policy, and engineering teams to deliver services at scale.
• Represent Amazon Leo in national and regional telecommunications organizations and build relationships with government officials.
