EMEA Group Financial Controller – Hybrid, Global Scope

Job summary

Headstar partners with a growing international manufacturing business to appoint a Group Financial Controller for the EMEA region. The role oversees financial reporting, consolidation and control across multiple entities and currencies, reporting to the EMEA CFO.

There is no direct line management, but the postholders will influence the wider Finance function and partner with local Finance teams to ensure timely, accurate and commercially useful reporting as the Group grows.

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification.
• Experience consolidating multiple international entities.
• Strong knowledge of foreign exchange and variance analysis.
• Solid technical accounting and financial control background.
• Ideally, experience within a manufacturing or production environment.
• Confidence building relationships with Finance teams across different countries.
• Hands-on approach with improving processes and reporting.
• Ability to challenge the numbers and understand drivers.

Responsibilities

• Lead the monthly, quarterly and annual close across the EMEA entities.
• Manage multi-currency consolidation and Group reporting.
• Review financial submissions from local Finance teams and challenge where required.
• Produce management reporting and detailed variance analysis.
• Support the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes.
• Review financial performance across the individual entities.
• Oversee cash flow and working capital reporting.
• Maintain strong financial controls across the region.
• Support statutory reporting, audit, tax and compliance requirements.
• Work with local Finance teams to improve processes and reporting.
• Provide financial insight and challenge to senior stakeholders.
• Support the development of consolidation and reporting systems.
• Get involved in wider projects, acquisitions and process improvements.
